JOB DESCRIPTION :

Job Requirement :-
* Development of New Building Materials using Agro-Industrial Wastes.
* Water and Air quality Monitoring studies.
*Handling/operation of sophisticated Equipments i.e. SEM / XRD / IonChromatograph/Infra red etc.
* Management of Municipal & Demolition waste or Polymer synthesis, water dispersible polymer blends, characterization, polymeric building materials and components, advanced analytical techniques for characterization of Dyes & pigments,coatings/paints/luminescent materials, nano-materials, synthesis of resin based renewable and waste materials, analytical techniques and mathematical modeling.
* Developmental studies on polymer composites, bitumen, wood substitutes, synthesis and characterization of natural resource based materials, flyash based materials etc. for use as building materials.

The Institute maintains linkages with international bodies like CIB, Netherlands; TWAS, Italy; BRE, U.K.; ASTM, U.S.A.; CSIRO, Australia; RILEM, France; BRS, Canada and UNCHS, Nairobi, Kenya.At the national level, the Institute has close interaction with BMTPC, HUDCO, DST, Ministry of Urban Development, Ministry of Rural Areas, Housing Boards and Societies of the State Governments, engineering and academic institutions, construction and building material industries.

* Prescribed Application form should be downloaded from CBRI website www.cbri.res.in or can be obtained from Controller of Administration.
* CBRI, Roorkee – 247667 in person or by sending a request along with a self-addressed envelope of 23x11 cm affixed with postage stamps of Rs.10/- on or before 1.6.2010. Photocopies of application form can also be used.
* The application form should be filled by candidates legibly with his/her own hand-writing using Blue ball point pen.
* Filled in application(s) in all respects, duly signed by the candidates alongwith synopsis sheet supported by attested copies of certificates of educational qualifications, experience, etc.
* Together with an application fee (if applicable) of Rs.100/- (Rupees One hundred only) (US $25 for candidates applying from abroad) in the form of crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of Director.
* CBRI payable at State Bank of India (Code No.10635), CBRI Branch, Roorkee is to be sent in an envelope superscribing.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION : Ist Class B.E. / B.Tech. in Civil Engineering
’M.E./M. Tech. in Environmental Engineering ’ experience or Ph.D. in Civil Engineering.
