(i) Master’s degree in relevant subject including relevant basic sciences.(ii) National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the ICAR/ ASRB/ UGC/ CSIR. For Electronics Engg. & Instrumentation and Computer Engineering NET qualification is exempted. (iii) For Veterinary discipline, candidate must possess recognized Veterinary Qualification included in First and Second Schedule of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 and Registered with State Veterinary Council/Veterinary Council of India (Relaxable in Bio-Chemistry, Animal Breeding & Genetics, Livestock Production & Management). Desirable : Experience of teaching UG/PG students.
Student Welfare Officer
(i) Masters Degree in any subject from relevant Faculty including relevant basic sciences. (ii) National Eligibility Test (NET) in the relevant subject conducted by the ICAR/ ASRB/ UGC/ CSIR. Desirable : Proficiency in games & sports and Cultural Activities as evidenced by certificates of participation in Inter-university/ state/ national level competition.

The Central Agricultural University has been established by an act of Parliament, the Central Agricultural University Act, 1992 (No.40 of 1992). The Act came into effect on 26th January, 1993 with the issue of notification by the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), Govt. of India. The University became functional with the joining of first Vice-Chancellor on 13th September, 1993. The jurisdiction of the University extends to six North-Eastern Hill States viz., Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Sikkim and Tripura, with headquarters at Imphal in Manipur.

The mission of the University is to be a centre of excellence in teaching, research and extension education in the field of agriculture and allied sectors. The University aims to develop sustainable farming systems for improving productivity and profitability in agriculture and allied sectors and also train the farmers and extension functionaries for the effective dissemination of advanced agricultural technologies in North-East India.

How To Apply:

Applications are invited on the prescribed form which can be had either from the Registrar, Central Agricultural University, Imphal – 795004 or Liaison Officer, Central Agricultural University, Room No. 202, KAB – II, Pusa, New-Delhi – 110012 on payment of Rs.200 (Rupees two hundred only) either by payment in cash at counter or by sending IPO/DD drawn in favour of Comptroller, CAU, payable at Imphal. The duly completed application form with prescribed fee of Rs.400 (Rs.200 in case of ST/SC/PH) in the form of IPO/DD drawn in favour of the Comptroller, Central Agricultural University, Iroisemba, Imphal should reach the office of the Registrar, Central Agricultural University, Imphal or Liaison Officer, CAU, Room No. 202, Krishi Anusandhan Bhavan –II, Pusa, New-Delhi – 110012 on or before 11.11.2010. Payment of prescribed fee for women candidates is exempted. However, fees for application form will be charged.
